Welcome on my site!

My name is Edit Czifra, and I have my breeding kennel in Esztergom, in the beautiful Danube band.  I started to breed dogs in a very young age, my first litter arrived when I was only 16. It means that I have gathered tons of experience about being a dog-fancy, about breeding, raising puppies or handling dogs on shows. I keep some of my dogs in a big garden, and some of them are staying with us in the flat. I switch these groups regularly. The „outsiders” spend the night in a „dogroom” which has a total of 40 squaremeters.

The puppies are always staying in the flat with us and our children.

I have discovered the spitz, as a breed, in a book and I fell in love immidiately. I was looking for a small breed what could be a pet, a flat dog but in the same time able to stay in the garden, too, as needed. So I wanted a small, sweet and universal dog. I had the oppurtunity to visit Kennel Maryland, Maria Kiss in Szentendre and I decided: I want a spitz!

I was only smiling when she had told me: „Believe me, if you once had a spitz you will never want any other breeds!” I had visited her regularly and finally I took home Maryland Ariana. Well, she haven’t turned into a perfect beutay but she is the reason why are we so crowded J. She made me totally clear that I will always have spitzs. Later, step by step, the others had arrived:
Maryland Dina, then („I don’t want to buy any, only visiting!”) Fortunat and Felicita. Then Maryland Gara was born, who I was waited so much and she turned to be my dream, what came true! A real wonder! While the time was passing by, for my deepest sorrow, Marria Kiss – with whom we had became close friends – decided to give up breeding. It meant that we ended up quickly with lot of dogs, because all of her older dogs arrived into our home, as an „old folks home”. Very soon after some dogs arrived to us from Kennel Catullus, the most important is Catullus Super, who had a big influence on my breeding stock. Since those days we still have common dogs with Tünde Péchy. I have to say thank you for her to help me solving problems around puppy raisingik.

Today I have 2nd and 3rd generations of  Zwergen König spitzs, and I am very proud of them, and I have imported several new dogs from Germany and the Czech Republic. I hope, they will fulfil my hopes. There are already several Champion, Show Champion, Club Winner, Best In Show dogs born in my Kennel,  and the Junior European Winner of 2007. . In 2006-2007 my kennel was the most successful Hungarian Small Spitz Kennel.

Here I would like to say thank you to my family: my children, Alex, Oliver and Sonja, my husband, Tamás and my parents, that they tolerate the good and bad days of being a dog lover and they support my plans. Without their love and understanding it wouldn’t work out…
